Street tree aftercare 2022-23 plantings
We work with SCC, EEBC and residents to water, mulch and provide essential after care for the new trees from the last 2 or 3 years to help ensure their survival and consolidate on the success of getting them planted.
Street tree planting Winter 2024/25
Work with residents and SCC to find suitable planting sites for new street trees, and with EEBC to find suitable planting sites on EEBC land.
Tree planting projects
Long Grove Project
Work with AgeConcern to assist in this project where appropriate, such as helping to plant and care for the planned community beds, and assisting with watering and aftercare.
London Road
Work with EEBC where appropriate to help facilitate this potential planting in London Road Recreation ground.
Tree nursery
The tree nursery is currently at full capacity and we aim to ensure our stock flourishes and to find suitable planting sites for them.
Veteran tree mapping
Work with EEBC to help map/verify veteran trees in the borough to help protect them from planning applications.
Surrey Tree Warden Network (STWN)
We collaborate with STWN under the auspices of The Tree Council to help protect and promote Surrey’s trees.
